The Year 7 course aims to give our pupils a comprehensive introduction to Religious Studies at Bridgewater High School.  Our pupils will spend the first term in an " Island experience".  This gives an opportunity to look at what religions involve and to explore how they have developed.  We then move on to religious authority and ask why religious people hold certain beliefs and consider what makes a good leader, particularly a good religious leader.  Pupils will complete their first year with an independent study project on Sikh Gurus which allows them to develop their learning and research skills.
