1
Half of pupils on computers investigating transformations of graphs while half of pupils drawing cubic and exponential graphs using a table of values (questions on board) or card sort game about recognising graphs, then swap

2 Sketch graphs using transformations – select questions
easiteach lesson ck

3
Find the equations of transformed graphs

4
Plot trig graphs of sin x and cos x for 0 to 360 degrees.

5
Using graphs from previous lesson show that sin x = 0.8 has two solutions even though the calculator only shows one solution. Pupils should use symmetry of graphs to find all solutions for problems such as cos x= 0.7.

6
Show how trig graphs are transformed. eg.    y= - sin x,      y =cos 2x               y  = 2sin x
