Here is the start of a selection of links to information relating to Languages from a range of authoritative sources.  It will be extended over the Options period.  We hope you find something to interest you!  It is important enough to be generating debate in Parliament, Hansard 03.12.09  (scroll down to 11.38 am)

These pages for parents dealing with Frequently Asked Questions, Career development and  Case Studies from the national campaign Try life in another language are very up to date, well researched and helpful.  Channel 4's Live Life in Another Language site also contains plenty of useful information as well.

Don't forget to think about the onger term importance of the Options taken at KS 4 and how they will impact upon future opportunities - have a browse through the UCAS link  - UCAS is the university admissions system.  It shows how you can combine a language with just about anything -  from accounting to waste management with everything in between!  Simply enter German  or French in the subject box at the top and then scroll down to search.  See what you get - the results are surprising!
