The ICT Curriculum @ Bridgewater – Key Stage 3 - Year 8

Year 8

All students have one lesson per week of a 1-hour duration with an ICT teacher. Schemes of Work are based on the ICT National Strategy, which have been adapted to allow the continuing development of students as independent and autonomous users.  Year 8 pupils further develop and enhance their skills in the various applications learnt in Year 7, plus they will learn how to use Database applications and the Web Design programmes.

In Unit 8.1 pupils will:

Investigate and interpret data. They will then create a information point for the Red Arrows display team using a web query.

Investigate the internet as a search tool and then produce a PowerPoint to give a view point on a topic.
