The AiDA/CiDA
is an ICT qualification provided by the
Edexcel examination board that is the basis of all ICT option provision
at
KS4. This is a separate qualification to
the award that is studied for during the compulsory ICT timetabled
lessons. As a related group of
qualifications
pupils can progress from the Award (AiDA), which is equivalent to one
GCSE
(grades A*-C) to the Certificate (CiDA), which is equivalent to two
GCSEs
(grades A*-C).
The AiDA/CiDA
is a qualification that prepares pupils for
the real world of work or further education. It
is designed to stimulate pupil’s creativity and develop
real-world
practical skills that will motivate learning across a wide range of
subjects.
The AiDA/CiDA qualifications are designed
