 Causes of World War Two - Overview of the causes of WWII. Possibilities could include the Treaty of Versailles, Hitler's aims for Germany, Appeasement, the two sides in the war etc.

 25  Dunkirk: Miracle or Success - Understand the importance of Dunkirk in that it led to the fall of France. Was it a success or failure?
           
 26  The Battle of Britain: Our finest hour? - Study Hitler's aims in the Battle of Britain, the factors that enabled us to win (RADAR, determination of the men, airplane production etc).
           
27 & 28
The cause of the war in the Pacific: Pearl Harbor - Understand why the Japanese attacked the Americans at Pearl Harbor, perhaps investigate whether Britain knew it was going to happen, the effects of such on the future course of WWII.






29 - 31
The Home Front - Understand various aspects of the Home Front e.g the Blitz, rationing, evacuation, the Home Guard, the role of women in the war, why women got the vote in 1918.

Ending the war in Europe - Study D-Day and VE Day in order to understand how WWII came to an end. Perhaps investigate the cost of WWII in comparison to WWI. What steps should be taken against Germany after WWII , bearing in mind the consequences of the Versailles Treaty

Ending the war in the Pacific - Look at the dropping of the atomic bomb and VJ day. Assess whether the dropping of the atomic bomb was justified.
