The current A2 course is only applicable for this academic year. Three different units are studied, which cover a wide range of time periods and ideas. All three units are assessed via an examination.
Unit 4 explores US
attitudes to communism in the 20th Century. It focuses on the
significance of the fall of China in shaping American attitudes, the
causes and consequences of the Korean War and the events and importance
of the Vietnam War
Unit 5 considers a 100 year period
regarding legislation and attitudes to the poor within society.
Students are required to identify and critically analyse key turning
points within this period Unit 6 is a source
based exam which looks at the historical controversy; the 'Mid-Tudor
Crisis'. Students will study the reigns of Edward VI and Mary I in
detail and analyse to what extent there was a crisis and be able
to discuss the various historical views on such. |
