| Food Tech My Learning |

Food Technology is
studied throughout Key Stage 3, each year students will have one lesson
of Food Technology over two terms, in total, approximately 26
lessons. The activities are planned to meet
the requirements of the
National Curriculum as well as teach students a range of skills to use
in later life and to have a grounding in Nutrition, Healthy Eating,
Dietary Goals and Meal Planning. Students experience this through
Focused Practical Tasks and Design and Make Tasks. Skills are introduced
gradually and become more complex as students progress through Key
Stage 3 enabling them to develop their own ideas and be
creative. Homeworks are set to link with the topic or task being taught. |
