Show pupils examples of finished game so they understand how it will fold and fit into box.
Produce at least 2 design ideas for your board game. Think carefully about how it will be made to fit onto given space and shape. Can you complete it in the time you have?

Produce a real sized rough layout for your proposed game.
Hwk-Complete rough layout/collect images to stick on game or draw from.
All - Produce a layout.

Make basic board shape from greyboard. [Demo]
Stick together with brown gum tape carefully.
Cut to correct shape. 
Ensure all edges are covered with tape neatly.
Use felt pen to make a coloured border 1cm wide.
Ensure edges are also coloured.Cut out a piece of paper thet is approximately 5mm smaller than your board so that you have a small coloured border visible.
Draw out your chosen board design in pencil or using 2D Design on the laptops.  Click here for a grid.
Hwk-Bring in wrapping paper to decorate back of board. All- use gum tape to stick greyboard.
Most will accuratly stick pieces.  Colour border.
Some will produce own grid layout.

Carefully cut wrapping paper to fit back of board and stick on with glue.
Decorate board using pencil crayon, images from PC/internet or using laptops.
Ensure it is of the highest possible standard.
Hwk-Start to make counters for game.
All will add some for of decoration.
Most will produce a useable layout.
Some will realise design to a professinal standard.
