Special Educational Needs

Introduction

Within Bridgewater High School there are many students who experience a wide variety of learning difficulties. Some of these carry a Statement of Special Educational Need. Some students’ needs are catered for within the Support Centre.

Bridgewater High School has a good record of student inclusion.

Education Support Team

There is a large team of teachers and teacher assistants, headed by the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator who help teaching staff to meet the needs of students who experience learning difficulties, speech language and communication difficulties or physical disabilities.

Members of the Education Support Team have considerable experience and knowledge of the students and ways in which to support them either in the classroom or out.
