What will the event cover?

The workload of schools has grown immensely over recent years and shows little sign of abating.  To cope effectively, schools must have purposeful and focused leadership at all levels.  This course is intended for teachers who are already contributing significantly at middle leadership level as co-ordinators, and now wish to develop the perspectives and practical skills needed to make an effective contribution at Leadership Group level.  The course is also suitable for newly appointed Assistant Headteachers.

What will be the outcomes of the event?

On completion you should be able to:

·        Develop a ‘strategic’ perspective

·        Anticipate the demands of the role

·        Support the development of practical skills and good judgement

·        Provide advice and support about managing the performance of subject and cross phase co-ordinators
