In the Interest of…

Teaching assistants, learning mentors and other staff involved with implementing the creativity agenda across the curriculum.  This course is intended for staff who wish to explore their own creativity in order to build their confidence and skills around delivering creatively in the classroom.

 

 

What the Event will cover?

This event is intended for staff that want to support and work with pupils in a creative way but require further experience in techniques, projects and creative theory.  The event will concentrate on creating a positive environment in which to explore participants own creativity, exchange ideas and gain practical experience of a variety of techniques, projects and interventions.  There is an emphasis on how the techniques learned can be used, and/or adapted in the classroom for a range of ages and groups.

 

What will be the Outcome of this Event?

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

 

1.                Explore their own attitudes towards creativity and have increased confidence in their ability to work creatively.

2.                Enjoy using several different creative methods that can be adapted for use in the classroom with a range of groups.

3.                Be confident in their technical knowledge of materials and how to use them.

4.                Use a variety of creative ideas and interventions for in the classroom with a range of pupils and age groups.

5.               Have a greater understanding of how to create a positive environment in the classroom.
