The Effective Senior Leadership Team

Improving Team Work

14th June 2005 – Wigan PDC

£169 + vat

School Leadership Teams play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the school on a day-to-day basis.  Some SLT’s however are teams in name only and do not achieve their full potential directing the school's medium to long term strategy.

Little guidance is offered to those in education seeking to understand how low performance by the SLT can be turned into high performance with pupils, students, teachers and associate staff reaping the benefits.  This event sets out to fill this gap using phase specific tasks and case studies throughout this event.

Who will benefit?

·         Head Teachers wishing to improve the performance of their own SLTs

·         Current members of SLTs concerned with improving their own effectiveness and contribution

·         Head Teachers elect wishing to be proactive in planning their approach to their new schools

·         Groups of senior staff from SLTs in the same school

What will be the outcome of the event?

P Appreciate more fully the nature of SLT high performance and the barriers to it
